Three Days of Teela: Colors
After Pencils and Inks And here is the final colored Teela llustration is complete!
Sorry if it took three days to post all this, but it was fun. I had completed the entire piece in 2 days, and it was ready on Friday. Still, even if I said an artist needs to know when to stop, thanks to my friends Alessandra and Emanuela, I went back and fixed the nose and adjusted the background colors a bit.
I'm sure you're wondering, will I do more of those? Maybe, I'm considering doing one for each of the statues done by Pop Culture Shock.
Also, most likely I will have this available as a print at conventions this summer, I'll keep you updated.
Coincidentally, Pop Culture Shock released pics of the final painted statue that inspired this illustration yesterday, and it looks amazing.
If you love it as much as me, you can Pre-order her beginning on Monday February 10th at 3PM Pacific Standard Time from the Pop Culture Shock website.

Every time I see Filmation Teela, I can't help but want her in MOTUC over Blonde Teela or regular Teela who has such a cold looking face.
Hopefully one day we get an action figure of Teela as beautiful as this.
Wow ! Marvellous illustration and rendering of Filmation Teela, Emiliano !
The statue looks wonderful too ! It's too bad that I don't collect statues...
This is not only super gorgeous, but also very hot!
Emi the master.

Looks great. Have you ever considered doing youtube video of the process? Its always interesting to see how people do the lines and process.
The background color is perfect. Did you sample from a screen cap or from an actual Filmation background painting?
I have always wondered how Filmation might design Teela's cobra armor. Would you considering doing an alt drawing with that staff and armor? You could even recolor it into The Goddess and have MORE prints!
Wow! Beautiful coloring, Emiliano. Teela is a perfect ten!
Absolutely beautiful work, Emiliano. This is Teela done right. I wish I had mad talent like this. Please keep them coming!
Looks fantastic! I wish I was going to a convention this summer, as I'd surely buy one.
Emiliano proving once again that he is hands down the best pen&ink artist ever to depict the MOTU universe. Thanks man, keep em coming!!!
That statue is so gorgeous! But my space is too limited, and I can't justify spending 320 usd on that when I've already got way too many MOTUC figures. I need to set up more shelves on my room-sapce. I'd much rather commission a piece from you Emil if you wren't too busy already I'd imagine. That sketch/coloring is gorgeous, makes me wish you were still drawing another comic. Loved the improved cover arts you were doing with DC Vs. MOTUC, I knew if it lasted for just one more, we would have gotten a Teela Vs. Wonder Woman, totally pictured you doing that one where they don't appear to be trying to kill each-other but rather having a sisterly sparring match. Because as much as I love Teela, Diana's got an obvious strength advantage over her, but wouldn't disrespect Teela, she's fight her at equal levels I.E. holding back.
O trabalho ficou excelente, parabéns!
